Checklist before signing
- ☐ I have worked or practised in this type of business.
- ☐ I know who my customer is and why they will choose me.
- ☐ I have done the numbers in the calculator with real data from my area.
- ☐ The town hall has confirmed I can do the activity in that premises.
- ☐ I have a quote for the building work and the technician.
- ☐ I have the investment and a cushion of 6 months of costs.

The first month open
- Open the business account and a sheet with daily sales and costs.
- Google listing and social media ready before opening.
- Set aside the tax money every week.
- Every month, compare what you sold with your break-even point.
And the most important thing, explained in the Mind zone: consistency. The first months are hard and slow for almost everyone. Trusting the process is not sitting and waiting: it is doing the work well every day even before you see the result.
