An offer that sells itself
The best marketing in the world won’t save an offer nobody wants. And a good offer almost sells itself, even with little marketing.
What makes an offer good
- It solves a clear problem for someone specific: “websites for bars that want bookings”, not “I make websites”.
- The result is understood in one sentence.
- It removes the fear of buying: guarantee, trial, reviews, refunds.
- It’s easy to buy: clear price, how to pay and what happens next.
Positioning: choose who you sell to
Trying to sell to everyone is the fastest way to sell to no one. Choose a type of customer and speak their language:
Weak: “Mechanic in Olot. We repair all kinds of vehicles.”
Strong: “Electronic fault diagnosis in 24 h. We explain what’s wrong with the car before touching anything.”
Strong: “Electronic fault diagnosis in 24 h. We explain what’s wrong with the car before touching anything.”
Improve the offer before the ads
- Talk to 10 customers: why did they choose you? What almost made them not buy?
- Use their words in your copy and ads.
- Remove what nobody values and strengthen what they do.
Selling well is covered in Selling and negotiating, in the Mind zone.
