AI for selling services: what’s real and what’s hype
Lots of people sell courses on “make €10,000 a month with AI”. Almost always, the only one making money is the one selling the course. But there are real services you can offer using AI as a tool.
What you can really sell
- Social media content for local businesses: you bring the judgement, know the client and check; AI helps you go faster.
- Video editing with tools that add automatic subtitles and cut silences.
- Product photos: removing backgrounds, improving the light.
- Simple automations: auto-replies, forms that send email alerts, online booking.
- Checked translations if you speak several languages well: AI drafts, you make it perfect.
Clients don’t pay you for “using AI”: they pay for the result and your judgement. AI is your tool, like Photoshop or Excel.
What’s usually hype
- “AI-written books for passive income on Amazon”.
- “Faceless channels that make you rich in 3 months”.
- “€10,000-a-month AI agency with no experience”.
- Selling “prompt packs” to others.
If someone promises lots of money fast without any skills, be suspicious. If they sell it in an expensive course, even more so.
Since August 2026, EU AI rules require disclosing when a realistic image, audio or video has been created or manipulated with AI. Keep it in mind if you create content for clients.
