Selling digital marketing as a service

Many businesses know they need to be online but don’t have time or know how. Handling their marketing is one of the most requested freelance services, and it’s paid every month.

Services that sell

Social media managementPlanning, creating and posting content every week, and answering messages.
AdsCreating and running campaigns on Meta (Instagram and Facebook) or Google, with the client’s budget.
Google Business and local SEOMaking the business look good on Google Maps: complete listing, photos, reviews.
ContentPhotos, short videos and copy for the business to post.
Websites and sales pagesThe page the ads and social media lead to.

How it’s charged

  • Monthly fee for a fixed service: for example, 12 posts a month and answering messages.
  • In ads, your work is separate from the ad money: the client pays the ad budget directly to the platform.
  • Contracts of at least 3 months: marketing takes time to show results.

Be honest about results

  • Don’t promise “thousands of followers” or “triple your sales”. Promise consistent work and measuring results.
  • Every month, a simple report: what was done, how many people saw it, how many messages or bookings came in.
  • If something doesn’t work, say so and change the plan. That’s how you keep a client for years.
Start with a business you know. If you get them real results, that case opens the door to the next ones.
