Where to sell each thing

Not everything sells the same everywhere. Choosing where to list is half the sale.

WallapopEverything, mainly in Spain. Good for electronics, tools, furniture and collection in person. On a normal shipment, the buyer pays protection and shipping.
VintedClothes, trainers and accessories. Big audience and the seller pays no fee: the buyer pays it.
eBayCollectables, parts, rare things and sales to other countries. The seller pays a fee.
Facebook MarketplaceFurniture, bikes, big items and local sales.
Second-hand dealersThey pay you on the spot but much less. Useful to get rid of something fast.
Groups and forumsCollector groups, brand groups or your neighbourhood. Buyers who know what they want.

Tips

  • You can list the same thing on several platforms at once; when it sells, delete it from all of them straight away.
  • Big, heavy things are better in person: shipping eats the margin.
  • Small, expensive things (phones, watches) with shipping and platform protection.
