Timeframes
The timeframe is how much time each candle represents. On the Crypto page you can choose 1m, 5m, 15m, 1H, 4H, 1D and 1W.
1m · 5m · 15mEach candle is minutes. Lots of movement and lots of “noise”. Used by scalpers and very fast traders.
1H · 4HEach candle is hours. Used for trades lasting days (swing trading).
1D · 1WEach candle is a day or a week. Shows the underlying trend. Used by long-term investors.
The same coin can be falling on the 15-minute chart and rising on the daily chart. That’s why you look at the big timeframe first (to see the trend) and then the small one (to pick the moment to enter).
If you’re starting out, use 4H and 1D. Small timeframes are very misleading and make you trade too much.
